Topic

hATTR Amyloidosis: A Rare Condition Disproportionately Affecting African Americans

Description

In partnership with The Balm in Gilead, the goal of this webinar is to provide education about hereditary ATTR (hATTR) amyloidosis, a rare condition disproportionately affecting African Americans.

Join us to hear from Dr. Ike Okwuosa, a healthcare professional experienced in the management of hATTR amyloidosis, and Jean, a patient living with this rare, genetic disease. Approximately 1 in 25 (4%) of African Americans have a certain genetic variant associated with hATTR amyloidosis. Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of the disease, how it’s passed down, and where to find additional educational resources.

There is no cost to attend this virtual event.
